Information we collect

• Contact details you provide: name, cell phone number, email address and project street address.
• Project details you enter: service type, answers to project questions, timing, budget and free-text descriptions.
• Property scope and imagery you create or confirm in the app, such as drawn areas, roof outlines and map snapshots. These are your planning input, not professional measurements.
• Account and usage information needed to run the service, such as sign-in records and saved drafts.

How we use and share information

We use your information to operate the marketplace: saving your project, verifying your phone number, and — only when you choose contractors and submit your request — sharing your project details and contact information with the contractors you selected. Contractors you did not select do not receive your contact details.

Contractors receive an anonymous summary first (service, broad area, size, timing and answers — no name, phone, email, street address or property imagery). Your private details are shared with a contractor only after you direct us to share them.

We use service providers to run BidCheetah, including hosting and database services, mapping and imagery providers, payment processing, and a text-messaging provider for phone verification. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to us.

Text message (SMS) privacy

Status: not active. Our text-message verification program is not active yet and no text messages are currently sent. When it is active, and only if you choose to verify your cell phone number, we will send one-time verification codes by text message through our messaging provider. Your phone number is used for verification and for the project workflow you direct — not for marketing texts.

Your SMS consent is collected separately from any other permission, including the project contact sharing you direct when you choose contractors. It is never sold, rented or transferred to contractors or marketing partners, and opting into SMS is not required to use other BidCheetah features. We plan to support opting out by replying STOP and getting help by replying HELP; that handling is required and will be verified before the program is activated — it is not operational today. Marketing email

Marketing email is optional and separate. You choose it with its own unchecked checkbox, it is never required to save a project, pay or request quotes, and you can opt out at any time.

Retention, security and your choices

We keep project and account information while your request or account is active and as needed to operate and secure the service. Detailed retention schedules are a separate pending decision and will be published here before launch. You may request access to or deletion of your information by emailing info@bidcheetah.net.

No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; we use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards and limit access to private project data.
